(More customer reviews)The previous reviews are right about the instruction booklet giving bogus instructions, but that is just the beginning with this sloppy effort. This game is loaded with lazy mistakes that show just how little effort 2K Sports put into this year's edition. The commentators are wrong about 95% of the time (for example, they will say that a player got thrown out trying for a double in his last at bat even if he struck out, homered, etc.). Sometimes wins and saves are credited to the wrong player. In addition to the booklet giving incorrect info on what the controls do, the game isn't much help with that either (I've played the game for quite a while and still just know the basic controls). Baserunner controls are awful, particularly when you have more than 1 guy on the basepaths at a time.
I had the 2K5 edition (which ironically was only $[...] and was a decent game), and it wasn't even plagued with amateur developer mistakes like this one.
I don't know how this year's version of the other MLB game turned out, but it can't possibly be as bad as this one.
